About this course
The online course the “Economic History of Turkey”, firstly, interrogates the economic situation in the Ottoman Empire, before the Republic of Turkey was founded. Then, it divides the economic history of Turkey into subperiods depending on certain characteristics and discusses the changes in economy politics in Turkey through a series of titles: Agriculture, development of the industry and the service sector, the conditions of work and labor, foreign commerce, growth, and distribution.
What you'll learn
The main goals of this online course are as following:
+ Investigating the economic history of Turkey by focusing on particular distinctive characteristics
+ Evaluation of transformations of economy politics throughout history,
+ Understanding socio-economic components of the changes in agriculture, industry, and service sector,
+ Interpretation of foreign commerce, growth, and distribution, social class, and women’s labor in parallel with social changes.
